Chauvet Weathers Hurricane Irma

Posted on September 12, 2017

SUNRISE, FL – Chauvet reopened its Florida facility on Tuesday September 12, resuming operations in its warehouse as well as its support, sales, service and product development departments following Hurricane Irma. “Fortunately, our associates are all safe and our building made it through the storm with no damage,” said Albert Chauvet, CEO of Chauvet. “We worked together and moved quickly to put everything in place to service our customers.”

Although warehouse operations have resumed at Chauvet, shipping is still contingent on Florida’s roads being cleared. However, Chauvet expressed confidence in the state’s ability to restore normal transportation channels. “This state is resilient and experienced at dealing with the aftermath of storms,” he said. “We’ve been impressed by how quickly things were cleaned up this week. There should be no significant impact on shipping.”

The rollout of the widely anticipated Maverick MK2 Profile and Maverick MK Pyxis was also not affected by Hurricane Irma. Both fixtures will debut at the upcoming PLASA show in the United Kingdom.

“Our hearts go out to all the people who felt the brunt of the hurricane, but fortunately it had only a minimal impact on our business,” said Chauvet. “We are extremely grateful to all of our customers who expressed their concern and support during this storm.”
