New At LDI Ovation E-260WW IP Is The First IP65 Rated ERS Style Fixture

Posted on October 3, 2016

ovation-e-260ww-ip-left SUNRISE, FL – With an output greater than that of a 750-watt HPL ellipsoidal, the Ovation E-260WW IP is bright enough to work effectively at outdoor events, theatrical performances and concerts. What’s more, the new LED fixture from CHAUVET Professional will also keep working without issue if the weather at those outdoor projects turns bad, because it is fully IP65 rated.

In addition to its IP65 rating, the new indoor/outdoor fixture, which will be showcased at the Ovation LDI booth (1515), is endowed with all of the performance features of the popular Ovation E-260WW. This includes a 50,000-hour LED source life as well as an intense output (6,910 lux at 5 meters with a 26⁰ lens). The latter feature makes it, along with its sister fixture, the brightest LED ellipsoidal on the market.

“The response to the Ovation E-260WW has been overwhelming since we introduced it earlier this year,” said Albert Chauvet, CEO of Chauvet. “We followed up on this fixture by introducing the Ovation E-260WW IP, because many of our customers asked us to develop a version that they could use outdoors. Both fixtures allow you to enjoy the benefits of LED technology without sacrificing brightness in your key lighting.”

Another unique feature of the Ovation E-260WW IP is that it’s the only ERS style fixture with the same familiar form factor as a traditional indoor ellipsoidal. Unlike outdoor gobo projectors, the new Ovation fixture has the lens selection, shutters, framing, and all the other features of a standard ERS product. It also accepts standard B-size gobo holders and easily maintains the accessory slot for ERS accessories.

Producing a warm even field of light, with a slight center peak, the Ovation E-260WW IP projects crisp well-defined gobos. The new fixture also has 16-bit dimming and emulated dimming capabilities, allowing it to integrate seamlessly into indoor or outdoor rigs that have incandescent units. With a color temperature of 3150K and a CRI of over 90, the Ovation E-260WW IP also blends harmoniously with tungsten units when rendering colors with gels.

It also offers a variety of control options, including DMX and selectable RDM. Moreover, with as many as five options (up to 25,000 Hz) of Adjustable Pulse Width Modification (PWM), the Ovation E-260WW IP is flicker free making it well suited for indoor or outdoor video applications.

“We’re very excited to be introducing this versatile and powerful fixture at LDI,” said Chauvet. “The Ovation E-260WW IP is opening up a new market and creating new opportunities for our customers to utilize LED technology.”
